About

The Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer has been dedicated to improving lives by funding cancer research since 1971. It has become the leading private entity of cancer research in Spain, allocating over 114 million euros to 603 projects involving more than 1,500 researchers, thanks to the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer, the leading organisation in Spain's fight against cancer for over 70 years, works to support research to understand cancer, identify improvement areas, and drive social change to eliminate inequities. It involves patients, relatives, volunteers, and professionals to prevent, raise awareness, support affected individuals, and fund cancer research. With 52 provincial branches and a presence in over 2,000 towns, it has more than 30,000 volunteers, nearly 600,000 members, and 1,160 professionals, providing free services to over 130,000 people affected by cancer to date.

Focused on the patient, the Association and Scientific Foundation aim to exceed a 70% cancer survival rate by 2030. This ambitious goal will be achieved through prevention programs, increased participation in screenings, promoting healthy lifestyles, and collaborative efforts from top research teams tackling the most significant challenges in cancer research.
