In March at our annual summit, we announced nine of cancer’s toughest challenges which, if solved, hold the potential to transform the way we prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
But why is now the right time to take on these intractable cancer research questions? And what bold, innovative approaches will be needed to tackle them?
In a commentary article in AACR Cancer Discovery, David, director of Cancer Grand Challenges, and Dinah, deputy director for scientific strategy and development at the National Cancer Institute in the US, outline the vision for each of the challenges.
“From now until June 22, 2023, we invite you to assemble your Cancer Grand Challenges team and submit applications that hold the potential to accelerate important and transformative discoveries and ultimately change outcomes for people with cancer.”
